Dr. Tikotekar is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine, while he is board eligible for Critical Care Medicine. His primary interest is Lung Cancer, Advanced Bronchoscopy and Interventions. He also specializes in COPD, Asthma, Interstitial Lung Diseases, Critical Care and number of other pulmonary conditions. His interests overlap in Sleep Medicine with special interest in Sleep apnea and CPAP therapy.

Dr. Tikotekar completed his medical school in India and his residency training in Internal Medicine was completed at Queens Hospital Center – Mount Sinai School Of Medicine in New York. He served as a Chief Resident, training and educating residents in Internal Medicine. He completed his Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital affiliated with UMDNJ.

He has received number of awards and has contributed to medical literature on numerous occasions. He has been a member of various professional societies.
